When it came time to put this column together, I couldn’t decide which way I wanted to go, so in a rare fit of anger, I decided to split the difference and bring you both.
As we’ve all heard the mantra from the Clintonian years, “It Takes a Village”, I’m sure everyone is fed up to their eyeballs with this crap. So, let us use John Walker, ex-American, turned Taliban warrior as our first example.
We have learned that at 14 or so, little Johnnie abandoned his education, which allowed him to choose his own studies. At 16, he devoted himself to studying Malcom X and then on to the Islamic religion. First of all, why would a parent or parents not be aware of what their kid was doing? Not only that, he made a dash to the Middle East with the blessings and financial support of his parents.
Then, he began to seriously study the religion of these people and decided to become a freedom fighter, or, in layman’s terms, a warrior against the USA.
Yes, I realize that little Johnnie was only 20 years old when captured. But, so were some of the guys he was fighting against. You see, some of our own men in battle against the Taliban are 20 years of age or less. So, do you reckon these young guys are misguided as well? I think not. Johnnie’s parents are as much to blame as anything or anyone. They never gave him any guidance as to which way his life should be. They allowed him to be a “free spirit”, who happened to one day decide he would take up arms against the country that gave him his birthright.
How sad. All the leftists are regurgitating the spin about how poor little Johnnie is a good boy and didn’t mean all this. Excuse me, but good boys do not make war with their own. Know what I mean? Little Johnnie is a prime example of why we do not need the village to raise a kid. See what a mess has been made? No supervision, no guidance, no challenges beyond his own finite mind, and what do we get? A Hillary Clinton village idiot. Maybe a little harsh, but true.
Which takes me to Village Idiot #2. Let’s look at the Palestinian kids. We have seen kids as young as 12 years old, strap dynamite to their chests, and commit murder and suicide in the name of Allah, or whomever their god is this week. They are “martyrs” for their country, as screwed up as it may be. Yet, in our own country, if we, as parents dare discipline our children, Social Services are called in, the kid is snatched away, and taken to a leftist camp for further processing, so that the mean old right-wing parent cannot do any more harm to the child.
Wait, it gets better. So, what if parents here in the USA decided to send their kids, 12 years old and above, strapped with explosives, into the streets to kill and maim others? First of all, parents are arrested for merely disciplining their kids. How would we react to such cruel actions? Is this not child abuse and neglect? Where is the left when it concerns the rights of children over in the Middle East? I want to know. I want to petition our government and see why a Human Rights convention has not been called against the Palestinians.
Right is right and wrong is wrong. Why do we not hear an outrage against these folks who send their kids to die for 70+ fairy tale virgins? Why? Because it would look like a stand for Israel. Duh! Wake up people. We cannot begin to hope for a village to raise our children when a bunch of Village Idiots are in charge.
We, a nation that opposes abortion, stands for the rights “of the children”, who are always claiming so much good and so much attention “for the children”, will sit back and allow these Palestinians to offer their kids as a sacrifice to an idiotic leader, in the name of a screwed up and hateful religion, is beyond me. Get with the program, people.
Put up or shut up. It’s time to walk the walk instead of talking the talk. Where are you Hillary, when the parents of these Middle Eastern kids are allowed to be butchered and slaughtered with the blessings of their parents, in the name of Allah? Huh? Abuse is abuse.
So, until you politicos decide to be forthright all around the board, I don’t think we need to hear a peep out of you people. You all are a bunch of two-faced hypocrites who couldn’t give a damn about “the children” unless it’s a photo op. Get with it. Get real. Or will you allow yourselves to be viewed as the Village Idiots that you are while maintaining you are a gung-ho, patriotic American?
Come the next election, or judgment day, whichever comes first, some changes will be made. Your prayers should be that Election Day will be way before Judgement Day…at least you will have a chance to right many wrongs.
Until then, you have a choice to improve the Village or to maintain your standing as the Village Idiot!
