So goes the godlike senators’ new mantra of “there’s nothing new here” when asked to defend the decision of not calling witnesses in the impeachment trial. And possibly, they are right about the “nothing new” bit. However, if they go back to the original findings that initiated this trial, they would discover that there is enough of the old stuff, to not require any new to proceed and convict. I guess it’s true regarding the old lawyer’s cliche about “when the law is in your favor, argue law…when the facts are in your favor, argue facts…when none of the above apply, pound the table. And table-pounding is pretty much what we have seen by our godlike senators. One thing is certain, when the next election rolls around, there will be plenty of competition for our godlike senators. I would suggest that these smugsters face a healthy dose of reality. I have never heard so much crap being spread in the disguise of “the will of the people”. Is the will of the people taken into consideration every single time these godlike senators proceed with something? Do they submit to the results of polls each time they consider a new bill? Well, you would think so. I mean, after all, we have spoken, right?
This nothing-new jargon is used because the spineless twits cannot come up with anything original. The senate at large reminds me of some “New-Age Christianity” lingo, where they talk about “God is doing a new thing”, or “Satan is using new tricks”. Well, I have news for them. Number one, God doesn’t need to do a new thing. His old things work wonderfully, thank you. It’s the people who need to do a new thing…it’s called WAKE UP! And as for Satan, he wouldn’t know a new trick if it hooked him in the horns. His old stuff continues to work well these days. Again, it’s the people looking for a new thing and being snookered by an old thing…liberalism. God help the powers that be in D.C. who now have the blood of America on their collective hands. They will be held accountable and they will pay dearly. No matter how godlike they see themselves, they are in for a rude awakening, at best.
Nothing new, huh? No new evidence, no new bombshells, no new lies, no new spin, no new nothing. Why? As I’ve stated above, the body politic has neglected to consider the old things. They turn their heads and wink at it as if to say, “We’ll let it go this time, but don’t do it again”. What if our children were raised thinking that you didn’t have to be disciplined for any wrongdoings? Sadly to say, but that’s pretty much the situation today. If children do something wrong, and it is pointed out as being wrong, then we have the politically correct punching holes in right and wrong. I guess it’s according to what you mean by wrong! Right or wrong old, or new… I am thoroughly disgusted with the Senate of the United States of America. Not surprised…but disgusted. I close with this thought.
That there was nothing new in the testimony of the three witnesses, what “new thing” would it have taken for the godlike senators to change their minds? This is one question I would love to have an answer for. If anyone has a clue, would you please email me the answer so that I may rest a little easier? I would appreciate it. Until then, I guess I’m gonna concentrate on the old and deal with it…since there is not a remote possibility of anything new coming along.
