First of all, let me state that I do not enjoy nor make a habit of delving into religion online. It is not a subject I share in my writings because everyone has different opinions on this topic. But due to the arrogance and “boneheadedness” of the First Lady and her enablers, I cannot sit back and remain silent this time.
Secondly, I am not passing judgment on the First Lady here, nor am I trying to expound on the meaning of Hillary’s little speech regarding “celebrating the birth of a homeless child”. I am only tossing out my opinion on the above charade. After all, that’s what I write…opinion!
Hillary Clinton wouldn’t know about homelessness if her cardboard box caught afire. She and her “ex-spouse-to-be” could become the poster couple for the homeless, were it not for high rollers in the party, and those in the pockets of the First Family. Finally, Hillary has a real home to go to, so she may prepare for her “intended” run for the Senate in New York. How many homes have been paid for by the Clintons in the past? How many times have they been known as actual homeowners? It’s not like they have lived in the streets or shelters, but if it weren’t for government housing, so to speak, where would they be? I guess to show real compassion for the truly homeless people, Hillary will offer to move down to “Skid Drive”, which is the upscaled ritzy version of Skid Row.
Now, on to Hillary’s Homeless Jesus! Being raised in a Christian home, and my dad being a minister, I have heard the “Christmas Story” countless times. The scene portrayed by Ms. Clinton is vaguely different from what I was taught and have learned. Yes, it is true that the baby Jesus was born in a manger, a barn because there was no room in the inn. In His time, there were no PACs to prop him up for his stay during his mom’s childbirth. There were no coffers or coffees to rake in much-needed capital. There were no limos to pick up the real “First Family” and whisk them away into the belly of the dark, seeking a luxurious suite to spend the night. You see, back then, there was no spin, except for the King and his band of liberal merry men, who were bound and determined to put an end to this newborn baby king.
Homeless, Hillary says. Bah-hum bug, I say. As this baby Jesus grew into a child, then into a man, yet remaining God incarnate, he was destined to lay down his life so that all of mankind could have an everlasting life. I’m not here to persuade you to think I have the market cornered on the truth. I’m only rebuffing a little spin by the most ethical administration in history. Someone needs to. As I was taught, and confirmed in the Bible, God’s Holy Word, “if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the true, living Son of God”, then you will be saved. This means that Jesus takes up residence in your heart, and He is no longer “homeless”.
With this thought in mind, I say to you, Hillary, who am I to judge what you say about this homeless Jesus? Maybe you should check your heart and see if He does have a place of residence!
